
Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi on Tuesday stressed that the Yemeni government will take all required security measures to protect diplomatic missions and international organizations' staffs. Al-Qirbi made the statement during his meeting with ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations working in Yemen, where he reviewed with them the security situation in the country. The Foreign Minister reiterated condolences and deep sorrow for the treacherous assassination of the German embassy's employee by a terrorist gang aiming to damage Yemen's reputation and the excellent relationships between the two friendly countries as well. He said that the security authorities will make every effort to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice, stressing that they will not go unpunished. On Sunday afternoon, a terrorist group shot dead a German citizen, who is a security guard at the German embassy in Sana'a, as he left a supermarket in Hadda neighborhood.
