Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said there is a proximity and coordination between Iranian and Japanese governments which pave the way for fighting weapons of mass destruction and nuclear arms. Talking to IRNA on Tuesday, he said this kind of cooperation will force the countries possessing these weapons and using them to threaten other countries to annihilate them. Since Japan is the biggest victim of nuclear weapons in the world, Iran-Japan cooperation in this regard could benefit both the region and the whole world, he added. Referring to the long-standing and historical relations between the two nations, Mehmanparast described Tehran-Tokyo political relations as very friendly.
