Future lawmaker Ahmad Fatfat said Friday his bloc would not be attending a legislative session next Monday in objection to the agenda set by the House Speaker. "As March 14 forces, we will not participate in the session as per the agenda put by House Speaker Nabih Berri when the government has resigned and the executive power is absent. There should be an extraordinary agenda," he said. "Besides, the other camp is unable to constitute a quorum," he added. Fatfat made these remarks following his meeting with Lebanese Forces leader, Samir Geagea, in Maarab today. Furthermore, he reiterated that Future bloc would participate in any dialogue called forth by the President of the Republic in compliance with Baabda Declaration. He stressed that dialogue must be resumed right where it stopped, that is to say the issue of the national defense strategy and the divisive affair of weapon. Accordingly, he welcomed the fresh initiative by Speaker Nabih Berri on re-launching dialogue, but dug holes in parts of the plan which he considering tampering with the powers of the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister-designate, the cabinet and the Parliament. Fatfat did not fail to blame Hezbollah whom he accused of hampering the formation of a new government in order to reach vacuum in the presidency of the republic.
