Munir al Jaghoub
Ramallah - MENA

The Palestinian Fatah's Mobilization and Organization Commission deplored on Thursday recent remarks by UK Prime Minister Theresa May that she will celebrate the centenary of the Balfour declaration, which paved the way for the creation of Israel, with "pride".

Munir al Jaghoub, the head of commission's information office, said in a statement on Wednesday that May's remarks reflect a real bias in favor of Israel, warning that such remarks are very dangerous and legalize Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories.

Jaghoub further requested the UK government to apologize to the Palestinian people for such remarks and recognize an independent Palestinian state with al Quds as its capital.
