Malaysian researcher and university scholar Karim Douglas said imposing sanctions and encouraging countries to exert pressure on Iran by the US is a clear case of state terrorism. He said all these efforts including sanctions are undertaken to stop Iran’s progress. In an exclusive interview with IRNA, he also noted that the US sanctions against Iran and pressing other countries to join them is a hegemonic behavior practiced by the US. Such moves are aimed at stopping the Iranian nation from becoming more powerful, he added. He stressed that the kind of activities taken by the West against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program reveals that they are scared that an Islamic state becomes the number one power in the region. Referring to Iran's commitment to all protocols signed on its nuclear activities, the scholar said West is worried that Iran is becoming an independent powerful country. Douglas stressed that all these anti-Iran moves carried out by western countries are cases of state terrorism which have so far only caused frustration for enemies of Iran.
