Ankara - RT

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called on neighboring Syria to allow the opening of humanitarian aid corridors. “Humanitarian aid corridors must immediately be opened,” Erdogan told a parliamentary meeting of his AKP party. He also urged the international community to put pressure on Syria to allow the delivery of aid to civilians. Erdogan did not elaborate on the possible location for aid corridors. Turkey shares a 910-kilometer border with Syria. The premier praised the Syrian opposition for their “honorable and determined resistance” against President Bashar Al-Assad, Erdogan’s one-time ally.
