Erdogan meets South Korean PM

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday met with his South Korean counterpart Chung Hong-won in Istanbul. Erdogan on Saturday met Chung at the prime minister's working office in Dolmabahce in Istanbul. The meeting between two leaders and delegations lasted one hour and took place behind closed doors. Following the meeting, a cultural agreement between Turkey and South Korea were signed. -Korean war veterans- Earlier on Saturday, Chung attended the appreciation program of Korean war veterans in Lutfi Kirdar International Convention and Exhibition Center. Chung thanked Korean war veterans and said, "we have never forgotten what you as a nation did heroically for us 60 years ago". -"You (Turkey) had feared no sacrifice"- Reminding that Turkey was the third country which had deployed soldiers at most, Chung said, you had feared no sacrifice and not only during war time but also afterwards, you had same sacrifices. "The world had witnessed in that match how we devoted close attention to you," said Chung referring to reactions of Korean fans in 2002 World Cup match between South Korea and Turkey.
