
Organizations of defending the rights of women in the district of Derbandikhan, of the province of Sulaimaniyah organized a protest to denounce the incident of the assault of six young people on a Syrian female refugee in Erbil .The official of the media center of women's organizations in Derbandikhan, Adeeba Ahmed called on the concerned parties to reduce the phenomenon of rape in the Kurdish community , and tighten its deterrent penalties , in addition to the implementation of all laws relating to deter violence against women .It is mentioned that six young men kidnapped a refugee from Syria, at the age of 16 years in Erbil , and sexually assaulted her , which caused a wave of indignation and condemnation among the Syrian community in the Ku rdistan region .
