
Emirati inventor Ahmed Abdullah Majan has won the gold medal for his smart bicycle's chair at the Hong Kong International Invention and Design Competition, which was hosted by the Chinese Innovation and Invention Society from 1st to 3rd December 2016 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Organisers also awarded the competition cup to Majan.
Majan dedicated his outstanding achievements to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan,Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and government and people of the UAE.
He said he was proud to represent the UAE in international technology, design and inventions exhibitions.
Global creativity, new inventions, practical technology, a variety of commercial designs and services were showcased in this platform, helping enterprises enhance their competitiveness through creativity and technology and broadening their business opportunities.
In last August, Majan secured five medals - three gold and two silver for his five inventions at the International Invention Innovation Competition, iCAN 2016, in Toronto, Canada. Majan’s three gold medals were for his inventions of ‘Smart Sport Helmet’, ‘Smart Saddle’ and ‘Solar-Powered Animal Tracking System’. His two silver medals were awarded for his ‘Solar-Powered Bicycle Tracking System’ and ‘Smart Elderly Crutch’.
