Cairo - XINHUA

The Egyptian police on Friday fired tear gas bombs at supporters of ousted Islamist-oriented President Mohamed Morsi on the outskirts of the capital Cairo, official news agency MENA reported. Morsi's supporters outside the Media Production City chanted slogans against what they claimed as corrupted media which incited people to oust the legitimate president. Some of them hurled stones at the security forces which responded with tear gas to prevent them from blocking the roads and crippling work in the media center, the report said. The state of hit-and-run still prevails on the scene, but no injuries have been reported. Elsewhere, several marches arrived at Rabaa Al Adawiya square in Cairo's Nasr City, where Morsi's supporters have been staging their sit-ins for nearly a month. On Thursday, the Interior Ministry called on all protesters in both Rabaa Al Adawiya square and al-Nahda square to "resort to mind" and leave for the sake of all people's safety.
