Egyptian FM meets EU official

Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy met here on Thursday with EU Special Representative for the Southern Mediterranean region. Bernardino Len, who is currently visiting Cairo . Discussions during the meeting dealt with relations between Egypt and the European Union and the importance of promoting cooperation between the two sides in the fields of economic, trade and social development, Spokesman for Egypt's Foreign Ministry said.. For his part, Bernardino Len stressed importance of Egypt's regional role ,reiterating the EU 's condemnation to acts of terrorism. He noted said that a national consensus should be done only through Egyptian efforts and that the EU would not seek to play a specific role in this regard.
