Egypt, US discuss relations, future prospects

The Egyptian caretaker Prime Minister Hazem Al-Beblawi and the US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns discussed here on Monday the overall relations between the two countries and its future prospects. The two sides reviewed the current situation in Egypt in addition to the regional and international developments. Burns arrived yesterday in Egypt in the first visit of a US official since the overthrow of President Mohamed Morsy, and the start of the transitional phase in the country on July 3.
