Egypt has joined the G20 in preparations for the upcoming summit to be hosted by Hangu, China, early in September upon an invitation from China which currently chairs the group.
Minister Plenipotentiary Ragi el Etribi, the Egyptian president's representative to the group, chaired the Egyptian delegation to the high-level meeting held by the group in Xiamen island for the final preparations for the summit.
The president's representative expounded Egypt's views regarding international economic issues on the group's agenda, mainly the stagnant global economic performance and ways to enhance the global economy in terms of trade and investment to avoid a new stagnation crisis.
He stressed that Egypt will be among the first countries to expound its policies and national plans to reach the sustainable development goals 2030 at UN in New York in July.
The presentation, to be attended by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, will focus on Egypt's development strategy and Egypt's vision for 2030 that was launched by the president in February 2016, he said.
Egypt's vision covers various sectors pertaining to economic, social and human development in the country.
The G20 nations welcomed Egypt's volunteer participation in the event which reflects the priority given by the Egyptian leadership to establishing a modern state.
