
Egypt has presided over a consultancy meeting in New York City that grouped members of the UN Security Council and the African Union (AU) Peace and Security Council, Egypt's Permanent Delegate to the United Nations Ambassador Amr Abul Atta said on Tuesday.
The meeting aimed at reviewing and evaluating the prospects of cooperation between the two institutions at the political and institutional levels, he noted.
The meeting tackled also a strategy to deal with conflicts more effectively and comprehensively in light of challenges that hit the African continent, Abul Atta noted.
