Cairo - KUNA

Egyptian government on Tuesday lambasted Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan over his remarks about Israel's involvement in the ousting of president Mohamed Morsi. "These claims are untrue and unacceptable," the government said in a press statement, adding that Erdogan's allegations aimed to tarnish the image of Egyptian national institutions and drive a wage among Egyptians. The statement added "Egypt's patience is running out" in face of the Turkish interference in Egyptian affairs. Erdogan has said that he had evidence showing Israel's involvement, describing a 2011 meeting between an Israeli official and an unnamed French Jewish intellectual. The Turkish Premier quoted the intellectual as saying the Muslim Brotherhood would not have power even if they win an election.
