Egypt's Higher Election Commission decided on Saturday to extend the parliamentary candidacy registration for another two days until Monday in response to the demands of some political parties. The was the second time the top election authorities extended the registration period, which was initially set to between Oct. 12 to 18 and extended four days to Oct. 22 for the first time. Egypt will begin voting for the parliament on Nov. 28. Yet the date for electing a president has not been set. Dozens of parties or movements, with the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party the most influential, are fielding their candidates for the new parliament.
