Dr. al-Sudais hands over Kiswa of Kaaba to Sadin

Dr. Abdurrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, General Chief of the Presidency for the Two Holy Mosques Affairs, handed over here today the Kiswa (black cover) of the Kaaba to Sheikh Abdulqadir Al-Shaibi, the senior keeper (Sadin) of the Kaaba. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Al-Sudais shed light on the history of the traditional Kiswa handover ceremony through the ages. He highlighted the special care and attention being given since the era of the founder King Abdulaziz bin Abdurrahman until the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Al-Sudais thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier for providing support to the Holy Mosques.
