
His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met here on Tuesday HH Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. He then met visiting UN Under Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Valerie Amos. During the meeting, HH the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince hailed the UN role in deepening international relations and establishing human values. He also commended the UN official's great efforts in the coordination and supervision of humanitarian aid to the Syrian people. He boasted that Kuwait plays a pioneering role in humanitarian activities through initiatives and help to disaster-hit people out of its firm belief in the necessity of ensuring world stability and peace. The meeting was attended by several officials of the Amiri Diwan. Meanwhile, HH the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince met, in the presence of Deputy Premier and Oil Minister Mustafa Al-Shimali, Yemen's visiting Oil and Minerals Minister Ahmed Daris. During the meeting, they discussed ways and means of further reinforcing and bolstering Kuwaiti-Yemeni relations in all fields.
