The Islamophobia Monitoring Observatory at Egypt's Dar al Ifta praised the initiative of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to form an international union to combat terrorist groups topped by Daesh and support countries which are fighting terrorist organizations.
In a statement released on Monday, the Observatory asserted that the president has highlighted the importance of unity among world countries in the face of terrorism which has become an increasing threat for the whole world.
The statement said the terrorist groups topped by Daesh have become similar to cancerous cells which are spreading all over the world and would negatively affect the security and stability of the international community.
The Observatory also praised the far-sighted vision of President Sisi which focused on treating the problems rather than handling its repercussions, citing the president's call on European officials to consider the main threat of terrorism which has crystallized in the influx of refugees to Europe as well as illegal immigration.
It said no country could avoid terrorism, noting that terrorist groups are seeking to destabilize any region in the world to spread their control and influence.
