Cruise liner en route from Scotland to St Petersburg

The cruise liner Black Watch en route from the Scottish port Fife to St. Petersburg through the Scandinavian countries came back over an intestinal infection outbreak. The cruiser that set out for a voyage on September 8 returned to the Scottish port Rosyth, British media reported. The cruise liner, which belongs to the Norwegian shipping company Fred Olsen, was carrying 778 passengers. However, the ship failed to reach the city on Neva River, where she was expected to arrive on Friday, September 20. During the voyage 130 people got infected with gastroenteritis. The ship is undergoing disinfection. In December 2012, an outbreak of norovirus infection, often called stomach flu, was reported onboard the British ocean liner Oriana, which was on a ten-day Christmas cruise in the Baltic Sea. About 400 from 2,000 passengers and crewmembers fell ill with norovirus infection. Several days later about 200 passengers onboard another cruise liner Queen Mary 2 that was on a voyage in the Caribbean Sea got sick with norovirus infection.
