Despite all the insecurities caused by the presence of the trans-regional states in the Persian Gulf Iran is the most secure country in the region due to its powerful defensive and military force, Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force Brigadier General Esmayeel Qa'ani said. "There was a time when it was enough for the US to declare that it intended to deploy one of its warships in a part of the world, and it could thereby change the officials and policies of a given state (which was located in that area); but today, despite the presence of several US and western countries' warships in the Persian Gulf, the Islamic Iran is playing its role in the regional and international developments powerfully and wisely," Qa'ani said in Tehran on Saturday. "Thanks God, Iran is the most secure country of the region compared to those which are even supported by the US," he added. In relevant remarks earlier today, Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari described Iran as the most secure country in the region, and voiced his forces' full preparedness to defend the county's territorial waters against any possible aggression by the enemies. The Iranian navy commander stressed that Iran is the most secure country in the region, stressing that Iranian naval forces will respond to any act of aggression against its territorial waters. “This strategic (Iranian naval) force enjoys high capabilities and will give a response to any country launching aggression against Iran’s waters,” Sayyari said. “As a strategic force, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Navy maintains its presence beyond sea borders,” the Iranian commander stated. Sayyari said that Iranian warships are currently patrolling the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb strait. In mid-September, Rear Admiral Sayyari once again underlined the Navy’s preparedness to defuse enemies’ threats in every field. “We have never surrendered and will never do so in future against the enemies,” Rear Admiral Sayyari said, adding, “We have the capacity to stop enemies’ threats in every area in the future.” He reiterated that the enemy’s confrontation with Iran is aimed at reducing Iran’s influence in the Middle-East.
