
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Monday lauded the close relations between Egypt and China, stressing that support, respect and mutual trust between the two countries have been witnessed since they started their diplomatic relations 60 years ago.
In a message to Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic ties, Li said the longtime friendship between the two countries and their peoples is becoming stronger as the time passes.
During the recent years, relations between Cairo and Beijing have developed fast and were upgraded to comprehensive strategic ties, he said, stressing Beijing’s keenness on exerting efforts with Egypt to boost cooperation in all fields.
For his part, the Egyptian prime minister sent a message to his Chinese counterpart in which he hoped for more cooperation for the interests of the two peoples.
