Beijing - QNA

CHINESE Vice President Li Yuanchao has called on North Korea to return to negotiations over its nuclear program during an official visit to Pyongyang, state media said. Li held talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Friday in the highest-level meeting between the two countries since Kim became leader in December 2011. China would like to see a resumption of the six-party talks, which were suspended in 2009, Xinhua news agency quoted Li as saying. The talks involve the United States, China, North Korea, South Korea, Japan and Russia. Li also attended activities marking the 60th anniversary of the end of the Korean War, saying it was an occasion to remember the citizens of China and North Korea who died
