Beijing - QNA

China has called for dialogue in Egypt after clashes broke out, to avoid further casualties. "The Chinese side is much concerned about the situation in Egypt," Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Hua Chunying said at a daily news briefingm carried by Xinhua news agency Tuesday . At least 51 people were killed and about 270 injured in fighting on Sunday, which erupted between the security forces and supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and ousted Egyptian president Mohamed Mursi, during celebrations of the 40th anniversary of October 6 war against Israel. Hua urged all parties to put the interests of the nation and the people first, and resolve their disputes through dialogue and consultation to avoid more casualties. "We hope an inclusive political process of transition will advance smoothly in Egypt, and stability will be achieved at an early date," she added.
