Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi
Khartoum - Arab Today

Cultural Adviser to the Chadian Embassy to Sudan Osman Mohamed al Amin said Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is the mos Egyptian leader open to the African continent.

Amin pointed out to Sisi's several visits to African countries and his meetings and summits with African leaders.

Amin told MENA correspondent in Khartoum on Tuesday that efforts exerted by Sisi are aimed at strengthening Egyptian-African relations to serve the interests of African nations.

The Egyptian president's good ties with Chadian President Idriss Deby and Sudanese President Omar al Bashir contribute to boosting fruitful cooperation among the African countries and not only among Egypt, Chad and Sudan, according to Amin.

Amin described Egyptian-Chadian ties as strong and historical, saying a big number of Egyptian businessmen are carrying out investment projects in Chad in a move which promotes development efforts in the different sectors.

Many Chadian students study at universities of Al Azhar, Cairo, Ain Shams and Alexandria, he said.

On Sudanese-Chadian ties, Amin said the Sudanese and Chadian peoples are one nation, although there are borders between the two countries due to the presence of joint tribes.

Sudan-Chad ties are growing and joint forces are stationed at the borders to stop any lawlessness attempts, Amin said, referring to the growth in the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.

About 600 Chadian students study at Sudanese universities, he concluded.
