London - Irna

British Prime Minister David Cameron says that the death of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi held out the promise of a better future for the people he ruled for four decades. 'People in Libya today have an even greater chance after this news of building themselves a strong and democratic future,' Cameron said in a statement in Downing Street. 'I'm proud of the role Britain has played and I pay tribute to the bravery of the Libyans who helped liberate their country,' he added. The British premier, who was at the front in NATO's intervention to support the overthrow of Gaddafi, said it was also a time to remember the many Libyans who died at the hands of this dictator' as well as other victims.
