Cairo - QNA

US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns is expected to return to Egypt on Friday for the second time in just a couple of weeks as part of ongoing efforts to resolve the political standoff in Egypt. Burns visited Egypt two weeks agao where he had met interim president Adly Mansour and vice-president for international affairs Mohamed El Baradei, Egypt’s official Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported. The visit by the US official aims to show support for Egypt’s roadmap for democratic transition involving a civilian government and elections.
