Britain's Prince Charles arrived in Kuwait on Monday to start a two-day official visit to the Gulf Arab emirate. The official KUNA news agency said Prince Charles was received at Kuwait International Airport by Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and other royals and high-ranking officials. The Kuwaiti government said earlier that Prince Charles would attend celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of Kuwait's independence. He will also meet Kuwait's Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and other dignitaries from the ruling Sabah family. Prince Charles, who is leading a delegation, is scheduled to head for Qatar after the tour in Kuwait.
