Sarajevo - Anadolu
After the trilateral meeting on Friday, Serbian PM and Minister of Interior Ivica Dacic, Bosnian Minister of Security Fahrudin Radoncic and Montenegrin Minister of Interior Rasko Konjevic signed a joint statement to fight against organized crime. Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro have signed the joint statement intending to continue strengthening the professional relationships, police cooperation and strengthen the security and safety of the citizens in three countries. The statement emphasized that the trilateral meeting of the delegations in Sarajevo was held in ''constructive exchange of views that are of common interest''. Radoncic said that the joint statement was about the strengthening of cooperation in the fight against organized crime, taking joint steps to prevent, detect and combat all forms of potential terrorism. "Through this approach in recent years we had more extraordinary successful actions in which we arrested a large and well-known criminal groups from across the region", said Radoncic. Referring to border crossings issue Dacic said: "As we approach the European Union (EU), the control on the borders needs to be stronger and sharper and when we enter the EU, we will have to discontinue it. I hope that the citizens will not be angry because we are forced to some unpopular methods such as obstruction of certain border crossings." Dacic said that it is ''clear that without the good cooperation of our ministries, police and security services we can not successfully fight against organized crime, terrorism and corruption''.
