The investigation phase of the trial of former top Chinese politician Bo Xilai has been completed Sunday morning, the court announced. The embezzlement and abuse of power trial against Bo adjourned Sunday morning and will resume on Monday, China's state-run Xinhua news agency reported. Bo, 64, the former lead of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and former member of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, is accused of using his power to cover up the actions of his wife, Gu Kailai, who has been convicted in the murder of British businessman Neil Heywood. He is also accused of taking bribes of about $3.5 million from businessmen Tang Xiaolin and Xu Ming and embezzling about $800,000 of government funds earmarked for a Dalian city construction project. Bo has denied the charges against him. Analysts watching the trial say they believe Bo will be found guilty and sentenced to at least 10 years in prison, The Guardian reported. The verdicts of most politically sensitive cases are decided well in advance, The Guardian said.
