
Chairman of the Shura Council Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh received here today the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Cemil Ciçek and his accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the kingdom.Al Saleh affirmed the solid ties bonding the two friendly countries, expressing hope that the positive bilateral relations will help upgrade parliamentary, economic, political and cultural cooperation for the common benefits of the two peoples, and in order to enable Bahrain to avail of Turkey's expertise.He said that the kingdom valued highly the "honourable" supportive stances of the Turkish people and government in support of Bahrain in all fields, backing of Arab and Islamic causes and support for efforts to promote security and peace all over the world.The Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly said that the Kingdom of Bahrain's wise policies, HM the King's pioneering Reform Project and the National Dialogue represented "advanced" democratic steps.He added that Bahraini-Turkish relations were boosted since HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's historic visit to Turkey, expressing sincere thanks to the kingdom for the support enjoyed by the Turkish community in Bahrain.
