Through a statement issued today in its tenth session held this morning Monday marking the advent of the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him, the Shura Council called on all religious scholars, preachers and orators to carry out their legitimate role.The Council also called them to bear their responsibility to direct people to preserve the cohesion and unity of society.The Shura Council also called on reinforcing the true brotherhood between the society’s members, and contributing in enhancing the reforms and development march in the light of the wise leadership of HM the King.Meanwhile, the Shura Council’s session started at ten this morning chaired by Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh with ratifying the previous minutes.The Council congratulated HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, the kind people of Bahrain and all the Arab and Islamic nations on the advent of the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him.Chairman of the Shura Council stressed that the Islamic religion cares for friendship, love, peace, and openness to other religions, calling for investing such occasion in devoting the ethics and merits of Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him, and highlight reunion, tolerance, and unity of word and line.The Secretary General of the Shura Council delivered the statement of the Council marking the 17th anniversary of the establishment of the National Guard.On this occasion, the Council congratulated HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Premier and all the affiliates of the National Guard chaired by Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, expressing their pride and appreciation of this invincible national force which forms the protective security shield together with BDF and Public Security.The statement of the Shura Council valued the readiness, high performance and training of the National Guard, as well as its constant high morale, the readiness to efficiently answer the call of duty, and values of discipline, integrity and management which are considered honorable traits of the National Guard, in addition to high professionalism and bearing responsibility.The statement also valued the National Guard’s witnessed contribution in preserving the stability, safety and security of the Kingdom, expressing the Shura Council’s appreciation of all the efforts done by the affiliates of the National Guard, and their sincere work to achieve honourable aims to elevate the Kingdom and protect its gains.The Shura Council stressed its full and unlimited support for the National Guard in constructing its defence capabilities, and developing its human and technological elements, asking Almighty Allah to return such occasion on the Kingdom with goodness, pride and invincibility, in addition to sustainable security, stability and prosperity in the light of its wise leadership.Then the Council discussed the received letters from the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani, then it discussed the first complementary report of Women and Child Affairs Committee regarding the Bill concerned with protecting family against violence, where the members referred the Bill to the committee for more study.
