The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Ghanim bin Fadl Al-Buainain, received today the Chargé d'Affaires at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr. Riyadh bin Saud Al Khanini. Mr. Al-Buainain praised the outstanding and historic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which he said stems from the genuine brotherly ties between the leaderships and people of the two countries. He also praised the stance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in declining a membership seat in the UN Security Council, affirming that the honourable Saudi stance which bravely and clearly expresses the positions of many countries and peoples across the world, who share and support the Saudi Arabian courageous position, including the Kingdom of Bahrain. Mr Al-Buainain hoped that the Security Council is committed to its duties in achieving justice and ensuring that international security and peace are maintained. The Chargé d'Affaires praised the support of the leadership and people of the Kingdom of Bahrain towards the stance of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the membership in the Security Council. He affirmed that the support stems from the cordial and historic ties between the two countries as well as clearly expresses the level of sincere brotherly relations between their leaderships. The meeting also discussed issues of mutual interest at the regional and international levels.
