Assistant Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabur Al Doseri today received the UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amin El Sharkawi.

During their meeting, the assistant minister welcomed the UNDP official and praised the efforts and initiatives launched by the programme and its role in supporting the Kingdom in the field of economic diversification, sustainable development, energy use and technical support .

He also lauded their efforts in assisting civil society organizations and institutions in capacity building and strategy development, noting Bahrain's keenness to strengthen cooperation with the United Nations and all its agencies within the Kingdom of Bahrain and abroad.

El Sharkawi praised the Kingdom's support for the work of the UNDP, noting the Kingdom's partnership with the United Nations and its role in supporting international efforts to achieve development and peace, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
