The Hague - Arab Today

On the occasion of the Kingdom's celebrations of the 46th National Day and the day of the accession of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Embassy in the United Kingdom held a dinner in the Hague, Netherlands, on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.

In his speech, the Ambassador Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa welcomed the attendees and reflected on the long historical relationship between Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of the Netherlands and partnerships in trade, investment, and joint efforts in combating piracy, terrorism, and extremism.

Among the honoured guests at the celebration were Ambassadors and diplomats, including the dean of the Diplomatic Corps, representatives from the Dutch Foreign Ministry, officials from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, and a number of businessmen and entrepreneurs with ties to Bahrain, including Jaap Vaandrager who runs a Dutch company in the Kingdom of Bahrain and represents the Netherlands as Honorary Consul.

The guests appreciated the gesture extended by His Excellency in hosting the celebration in Flamingo Paradise, a Bahraini owned restaurant by Mr. Jalal Rashid in the Netherlands, and conveyed their best wishes to the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people on its national day, wishing them continued happiness and prosperity.
