Azhar imam hails role of African media in spreading unity

Al Azhar Grand Imam Dr Ahmed el Tayyeb underlined the important role played by media in Africa to spread unity and support interaction among people and nations of the whole African continent. 

The African continent is full of great potentials that should take advantage of them for a better life for the African nations, Tayyeb added during his meeting with a delegation, grouping a host of media leaderships from 21 African countries. 

Al Azhar exerts efforts on spreading awareness among youths about the danger of extremism, he added. 

The African media leaderships delegation voiced appreciation for Al Azhar role in spreading the upright teachings of Islam and entrenching Islamic values and coexistence among the various cultures and civilizations.
