The Egyptian Awqaf Ministry agreed to establish a center for training Muslim preachers and imams at the headquarters of the Egyptian university for Islamic culture in Kazakhstan.
Minister Mokhtar Gomaa told MENA that the center, the first of its kind in Kazakhstan, would be established upon a request from the country's deputy culture minister, who is in charge of religious affairs, as well as from its Mufti.
In support of distinguished Egyptian-Kazakh relations, the new body will be operated by the beginning of the new academic year, the minister added.
