Army launches airstrikes, destroys al-Nusra positions in southern Syria

Syrian fighter jets destroyed concentration centers of the Al-Qaeda-linked groups in the Southern parts of the country in several air raids. The Syrian air force destroyed concentration centers of Al-Nusra Front in Anakhl, Tefes, Al-Harak and Dara’a in Southern Syria in 20 airstrikes. The army killed tens of armed rebels and injured dozens more in its air raids on the said regions. Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against the Syrian police, border guards, statesmen, army and civilians being reported across the country. Thousands of people have been killed since terrorist and armed groups turned protest rallies into armed clashes. The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
