
A delegation from the Arab League, headed by the Secretary General of the Arab League for humanitarian relief Sheikha Hessa Al-Thani began on Sunday field visits to inspect the conditions of the Syrian refugees in Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq, especially women and children. A press release issued by the General Secretariat of the Arab League said that the visits of the Arab League delegation, which includes in its membership director of the Department of Women, Family and Children Inas Mekkawi and staff from the department of health, humanitarian assistance and the department of women, family and children began yesterday their mission which will continue until January 10. The statement added that the delegation will meet with the ministers concerned in the neighboring countries with the situation of Syrian refugees, in addition to meeting with the United Nations officials in the relevant three countries. It explained that the Arab League delegation will submit a report on this task to the second donors' conference for Syria to be hosted by Kuwait on January 15. The visits of the Arab League delegation to Syria's neighboring countries (Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon and Turkey) come in order to provide support in accordance with the decisions of the Councils of Ministers of Health, Social Affairs and the Arab youth in addition to the decision issued by the Council of the Arab League in this regard.
