American couple found guilty of raping children adopted from Kazakhstan

Joseph and Linda Mayotte, a married couple from Worcester, Massachusetts, were convicted of sexual assault involving their underage children adopted from Kazakhstan, according to Milford Daily News report. They may face at least 10 years imprisonment or even life sentence. The verdict will be delivered August 22. In 2004, the Mayottes adopted children from Kazakhstan and took them to the U.S. The court started to try the case this year. After the sentence had been announced Joseph Mayotte was arrested in the courtroom. His wife was not present on the court session as, according to unofficial data, she has been put into a medical facility after several suicide attempts.
