Al-Sawarmi: Military talks ended disturbance at Jodat al-Fakhar area in White Nile state

The spokesman of the Armed Forces, Col. Al-Sawarmi Khalid Saad, announced that contacts between the Commander of the Intelligence and Security, Gen. Siddiq Amer, and the Director of South Sudan People's Army, Maj. Gen. Maj Paul, had resulted in ending the tension at Jodat Al-Fakhar area, the White Nile State, which erupted in the past days, affirming that the tension at this area was fully contained. He indicated in a statement to SUNA that this the contacts between the Commanders of Intelligence of Sudan and South Sudan Armed Forces came in the context of the efforts to avoid border problems between the two countries. He pointed to an important meeting held in Jodat Al-Fakhar area between the Commander of Joda Military Area and his aides and their counterparts of South Sudan toward ending the tension at Jodat Al-Fakhar area. Col. Al-Sawarmi said that a field team of the Joint Security Committee of Sudan and South Sudan has begun field tours to the joint border area for realizing stability at all the joint border area.
