
Kuwait Ambassador to Turkey Abdullah Al-Thuwaikh said Tuesday evening the current visit of National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim and his party will give momentums to the bilateral ties. "The visit is part of the increasing high-level contacts between the two countries," Ambassador Al-Thuwaikh said during a dinner banquet he hosted in honor of the Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation. "Both countries play active roles in the regional affairs and share the desire to further cement cooperation in all fields including the parliamentary one," he pointed out. Upon their arrival this evening on a four-day trip, the Kuwaiti delegation held talks with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on a range of bilateral and regional issues. They are scheduled to meet tomorrow President Abdullah Gul and Parliament Cemil Cicek before heading to Istanbul on Thursday.
