
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef Al Fayez met on Wednesday with a delegation of US congressional aides and briefed them on Jordan's tourism sector.
Al-Fayez also talked about the ministry's action plans, marketing plans that are implemented by the Jordan Tourism Board and the importance of the US tourism market for Jordan, calling on Americans to visit the Kingdom and its religious sites.
During the meeting, which was attended by Director General of the Tourism Board Abdul Razak Arabiyat and a number of representatives of the tourism sector, the delegation voiced appreciation of Jordan's unique and diverse tourism product.
The delegation will visit a number of archaeological sites in Madaba, Petra and Wadi Rum.
