The Turkish political foreign relations were badly affected recently for various reasons with the neighboring countries and its allies which prompted the government of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) to work on improving ties with foreign countries.
Turkish Milliyet Daily Newspaper mentioned on Thursday that there are many examples for the deteriorating ties with the neighboring nations such as the five-year crisis with Syria, the tense relations with Iraq, Iran, Russia and the US.
The diplomatic ties are severed with Egypt and Israel, the newspaper added.
Ankara work on mending its foreign ties with other countries after the Turkish diplomacy was damaged due to the wrong policies of the Justice and Development government.
To achieve this aim, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu paid an official visit to the Iranian capital Tehran to promote joint cooperation despite differences in the points of view.
The European country tries also to normalize the relations with Israel, the newspaper underlined, adding that ties with Egypt will flourish after Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry participated in Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit held in Istanbul.
