
A delegation of the African Wise Men Committee, headed by former Malian president Alpha Oumar Konare arrived in Cairo today in a several-day visit. The delegation will prepare a report on the current situation in Egypt following which has been described as a revolution june 30th 2013 whether it was a real revolution or a military coup. Due to this report, the African Union would take its decision either by lifting the penalty of the suspension of the Egypt’s participation from all the activities of the African Union which had been issued by the the African Union Peace and Security Council or to keep it until a new presidential election. The delegation will meet with a number of senior Egyptian officials including Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy in order to discuss the current situation in Egypt.
