
The Quality Section, Strategic Planning and Performance Management Sector of the Abu Dhabi Municipality has recently feted the work team that successfully accomplished training 120 municipal employees on a Management and Design of Operation course using ARIS software. The course was instigated by the Municipality in the context of re-engineering operations to bring them up to par with the world's best practices. In a speech on behalf of Engineer Abdullah Saeed Al Shamsi, Executive Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Management Sector at the Municipality, Humaid Rashid Al commended the efforts made by the training team as well as employees, paid tribute to the constant endeavours to hone employees skills and abilities, and encouraged them to seek more improvement through capitalising on the technological advancements, and working together as a family with team spirit. Mohammed Ateeq Al Hamli, Head of the Quality Section, emphasised that the excellent implementation of the project was a result of the commitment and keenness on the part of the training team which had managed the project in an efficient and competent manner. "Through these courses the Municipality is seeking to adopt and implement the latest tools, software and innovations in a variety of technical and administrative capacities, besides maximizing the benefits from theories and useful practices in order to leverage and polish the skills and capacities of employees in a way that ensures the highest levels of implementation and performance quality," stated Al Hamli. Induction and training workshops were held for employees directly concerned with the application of processes and monitoring. These included improving and streamlining operations layouts '&' business processes, and verifying their efficiency and effectiveness in matching the needs and strategy of the Municipality to pave the way for automation and developing application software, as well as verifying integrated and interlinked processes and work procedures in a way to ensure a smooth flow of information between the organisational units.
