The cabinet meeting held on Wednesday, in the government palace in Tunis, under the chairmanship of interim Prime Minister Ali Larayedh, took stock of the general situation in the country and approved 22 draft decrees out of 23 submitted to it.  The texts in question concern various fields. Some of them proposed by the Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry institute a set of premiums for the benefit of  professors in English and information technology subjects, in implementation of the agreements concluded with the competent trade union sides. Another decree provides for the revision of the specific admission exam in national engineering schools.  It also proceeded, according to Minister Adviser to the Prime Minister Noureddine B'hiri, to the approval of draft decrees emanating from the Ministries of Transport, State Properties and Landed Affairs, Trade and Equipment. A part of these texts concern the social housing programme and another is destined to overcome the land constraints in order to speed up the achievement of the Taparura project, in Sfax.  During the cabinet meeting, a series of draft decrees proposed by the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Agriculture were approved.  Besides, the meeting listened to exposés of the Minister of Higher Education, and a representative of the Ministry of Education, which reviewed the results of the national exams and the preparations of the next new school and academic years.
