
Two people were killed and 24 injured when mortar shells hit neighborhoods in the Syrian capital, Damascus, and its suburbs on Monday, official news agency (SANA) reported. SANA quoted an official source as saying two children were killed and 15 citizens were wounded when a motar shell hit the area of Adra in the suburbs of Damascus. Three citizens were hit by shrapnel of a mortar shell that crushed in Al-Mawasen Square, while six people were injured by another shell in Kashkool neighborhood outside Damascus. The mortar shells' attacks also caused damage to properties and vehicles, said the source.
