The First International Conference of the Islamic Awakening attended by several experts and personalities from 17 countries ended in Tehran on Sunday.Secretary General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening Ali Akbar Velayati, and Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Mohammad Ali Taskhiri attended the closing ceremony of the conference. A total of 25 thinkers and experts of Muslim World, including Iranian and international experts studied the latest Islamic Awakening developments within format of two specialized commissions. Secretary General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening Ali Akbar Velayati presented a report on the secretariat’s status. In the First International Conference of Islamic Awakening studied the latest developments, resisting the foreign dominance, reinforcing the sovereignty and independence of Muslim countries, and confronting the interference of foreign powers in Muslim world. Several meetings on the latest developments on subjects of Islam and Democracy, Islam and Civilian Rights, Islam and General Freedoms, compiling constitutional law in developing countries, diversion of Islamic Awakening movements, and confiscation of popular revolutions.
