Dubai - Arab Today

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, was the latest expert guest of the '100 Mentors' programme.

Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the 100 Mentors programme launched by Emirates Youth Council aims to build national heroes across all fields in the UAE by establishing direct channels with mentors, fostering young people's experiences and enabling them to play an active role in the nation's sustainable development goals and future industries.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid spoke at the steering session titled, 'The Art of Management', in the presence of over 1,000 young Emiratis from across the Emirates, as well as a group of Emirati leaders and decision-makers in the education, culture, sports, arts, and economic sectors.

During the session, Sheikh Rashid engaged with the audience by relaying his experiences using management skills and professionalism. He also emphasised the importance of providing young people with opportunities to acquire management skills, which could positively impact their achievements and career progress.

Commenting on the occasion, Shamma bint Sohail Faris AlMazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, said that the 100 Mentors programme seeks to convey the experiences and acquired knowledge of the selected mentors to the youth through interactive sessions.

Al Mazrouei stressed that young people could greatly benefit from role models and mentors in the programme. The future requires young people who are familiar with different skills, such as the art of management, applying it to their lives on a daily basis, she added.

The programme has selected a total of 100 professionals to guide young people and enhance their skills and expertise in various fields. Mentors will support youth capacity-building efforts and diversify their skills and development.

100 Mentors has already hosted several leading figures in the UAE including, Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs and Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Managing Director of Mubadala and CEO of Mubadala Group.
